Clicking this button will return you to the previous view.
Clicking this button will send you to the next view after you clicked the previous view button.
Clicking this button will zoom the map to the full extent.
Hold down the left-mouse button and drag the map. Let go of the left-mouse button when you want to stop panning.
Clicking on the map will zoom in on the point chosen centering the map on the point or hold down the left-mouse button and drag a box to manually define the area to zoom to.
This tool allows you to zoom out from a point clicked on the map or hold down the left-mouse button and drag a box to manually define the area to zoom out to.
This tool allows you to identify items on the map. Click on the right side to enable the drop down menu. Click on the options you wish to identify. Information about the parcel will be displayed in the Table of Contents on the right side of the sceen.
This tool allows you to clear a selection or highlighted parcels.
This tool allows you to measure a length by drawing a line on the map. Click once on the map to set the each point of the measure segment. You can measure multiple segments. Double click to stop measuring. The length is reported back to you in information tab in the Table of Contents
This tool allows you to measure an area by drawing a polygon on the map. Click once for each point in the area to be measured. Double click to end measuring. The area is reported back to you in the Table of Contents.
This tool allows you to search a parcel by Property Address or Parcel ID Number. Enter your search parameters in the boxes in the Table of Contents. Your search results will also appear in the Table of Contents. (How do I do this?)
This tool allows you to prepare a PDF or HTML webpage for viewing or printing. After pushing this button, you need to follow the instructions in the Information Tab in the Table of Contents.
This tool will take you to Google Street View, if available. Most major roads in Brown County have Street View available. This will open in a non-Brown County Site. Brown County is not responsible for the data in Google Street View.
This tool will take you to Bing Maps- Oblique View. Views are available for North, South, East and West. This will open in a non-Brown County Site. Brown County is not responsible for the data in Google Street View.
Jump to Box - Will move and zoom the map to the location chosen. There is an option for each Township and City in Brown County.
List of Available Layers - This is a list of all available layers. You can turn layers on or off by checking the box next to it. Parcels are turned off when the Online GIS Application loads.
Layer Options - There are a number of tools that work directly with each individual layer.
Clicking this icon will open or close grouped layers. It does not change the status of an individual layer.
Clicking this box will turn an individual layer on and off. If the box is checked, it is on. Please note in a few layers, such as soils, you need to be zoomed in a certain amount before the layer will turn on.
Clicking this icon will open and close a legend. Legends are only available for layers that are turned on. Not all layers will have legends
Clicking this icon makes a layer transparent, allowing layers below it to be seeing through the layers above it.
X,Y: The X and Y Coordinates of the mouse location on the map. It is in UTM Zone 15, NAD83 Coordinate System.
Lat, Lon: This is the latitude and longitude of the mouse location on the map.
USNG: US National Grid Designation. It will change as the mouse moves across the map. For more information about the National Grid, Click Here.
Scale: This is the scale of the map. It is read as 1 Unit = X Units on the map. Examples: 1 inch, as measured with a ruler on the map, would equal 283,464 Inches on the map in the scale above.
-Select the Search Parcels button from the toolbar above the map.
-On the Information Tab in the Table of Contents, Select the Drop Down Menu to bring up a list of options to search by (see example below).
-You can search by Parcel Number With Decimal Points, Parcel Number Without Decimal Points, or by Property Address.
-Choose the option you are interested in and type the address or parcel number into the box underneath the Drop Down Menu.
Partial Searches will work as long as the numbers are adjacent. For Example, entering a 250.001 Will include these parcels:

For best results use a partial adress, such as a house number and street (ex. 14 State) instead of the full address (ex. 14 State S St)Property Address Rules:
-Check that your information was entered correctly in the Parcel Search Box.
-Check to make sure the information is in the required format.
-Make sure that you select the correct search option.
